Why we fight

I was watching the documentary by the same name and it details the rise of the american military-industrial complex post-WWII as President Eisenhower had warned in his farewell speech to the nation. It tells how the establishment sells the war to the people through misinformation, lies and secrets. It explains why the Congress, the military establishment and the Defence related MNCs work hand in glove to make a case for war and keep the public in the dark about the real reasons which are in most cases is economic. They all profit from the war with new contracts and business. Recently another aspect has been added to the trio- the Think Tanks who make the intellectual case for war- invent new threats to national security or revive old ones.

It all points to one thing- the fact that the European race has always been a war-mongorer -I believe its in its psyche to dominate other races and people either by deception or by force and in that pursuit use what ever means he can.

I would be interested to know why and how the psyche come into being. I would also like to look at the growth or lack of spiritual movements in the Europe before Christianity. Perjhaps that might hold the key to this aggressive mentality.

Imagine the story of the spread of Christianity in Europe. Its widely believed that Emperor Constantinople brought it to Europe. Its alleged that he was facing defeat at the hand of his enemies and the night before the fateful battle he had a dream in which God appeared in his dreams and asked him to put the symbol of the of the cross on his army. He complied and miraculously his army defeated his enemies mighty army. Its interesting to note that the greatest apostle of peace, Christ, would help a non- believer to win a bloody war.It shows how the Bible or biblical stories have been written by Europeans who saw wars as perfectly valid reasons for Gods to help you.
